Gender Equality Plan

Introduction

Artificial Intelligence Techniques S.L. (Artelnics) is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace where all employees, regardless of gender, have an equal opportunity to succeed.

This Gender Equality Plan (GEP) aligns with European Commission standards, outlining concrete actions and objectives to promote gender equality throughout the organization.

The company's management fully supports this initiative, as evidenced by Roberto Lopez, Artelnics' CEO, signing this document. We have published the plan on the company's website to ensure transparency and accountability.

Dedicated Resources

We dedicate significant human and financial resources to ensure the successful implementation of this GEP.

In this regard, Artelnics will establish a Gender Equality Committee and appoint a Gender Equality Officer, who will represent all employees and management of the company. This committee will lead gender equality efforts, drive change, and report regularly to management on progress made.

Data Collection and Monitoring

Artelnics collects and analyzes sex/gender-disaggregated data on hiring, promotions, salaries, career development opportunities, students, and trainees. We use this data to establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and regularly monitor our progress toward gender equality.

Each year, we will publish a report highlighting progress, trends, and areas for improvement, ensuring transparency of our gender equality efforts.

Training

We are committed to providing training on gender equality and unconscious bias to all staff, including decision-makers. These training sessions will cover:

  • The importance of gender equality and its positive impact on the workplace.
  • Identification and reduction of unconscious bias in decision-making.
  • Promotion of gender-sensitive leadership practices at all levels.

Through these training programs, we aim to raise awareness and integrate gender-sensitive practices into our organizational culture.

Action Areas and Targets

Work-Life Balance and Organizational Culture

Artelnics has already implemented flexible work policies, such as flexible working hours, that are available to all genders. We also plan to increase support for employees with children and care responsibilities.

These measures will help promote a healthy work-life balance and reduce the disproportionate burden that often falls on women.

Objectives:
By 2024, 100% of employees will already have access to flexible working hours, and both men and women will benefit from these policies.

Gender Equality in Recruitment, Career Progression, and Leadership

Artelnics creates gender-neutral job descriptions and ensures a diverse hiring pool for fair decision-making. However, we will continue to review hiring, promotion, and career development processes to eliminate gender bias.

Currently, the company's female representation is 17%, slightly lower than the 22% average for the Information and Communication Technologies sector.

In the company, there is absolute parity in salaries between men and women.

We will prioritize parity between men and women in all positions and ensure that all management selection processes include diverse candidate pools.

Objective:
The percentage of women in the company will exceed the industry average by 2026.

Integrating the Gender Dimension into Research and Teaching Content

Artelnics is committed to integrating a gender perspective in its research, especially in developing AI technologies. We will periodically review our research processes to identify and eliminate gender bias in AI algorithms and systems.

We will collaborate with educational institutions to incorporate gender equality issues into training and teaching materials.

Objective:
Review AI research practices for gender bias and update by 2025.

Measures Against Gender-Based Violence, Including Sexual Harassment

Artelnics maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for gender-based violence, including sexual harassment. We will create a formal and confidential reporting mechanism to address any complaints promptly and fairly.

In addition, we will conduct regular training and awareness campaigns to educate employees on how to prevent and report gender-based violence.

Objective:
Establish a confidential reporting system and train all employees on our anti-harassment policy by 2025.

Conclusion

Artificial Intelligence Techniques S.L. is committed to creating a fair, inclusive, and gender-equal workplace.

By implementing this Gender Equality Plan, we will foster an environment where all employees, regardless of gender, can grow and succeed.

Through dedicated actions, measurable objectives, and ongoing management support, we will ensure that gender equality becomes a cornerstone of our organizational culture.
